I’ll be honest.  I’d given up all hope of being able to put recorded TV onto my Windows Phone.  That is until about 2 minutes ago.

Before I had 7, I was using XP Media Centre edition with a DVR card installed in my PC.  I recorded loads of TV shows and tried to put some of my favourites onto my phone to watch instead of listening to music.  But, there was a problem.  It didn’t want to work.  I tried everything, but nothing happened. Anyway….

This has changed though.  Somewhere, somehow this has been fixed and now YOU TOO can watch Top Gear on your phone, without the need for an iPod!

For this I’m using a Windows Phone. The HTC Touch HD.

Here’s how to do it:

Plug in your Media device (that is capable of displaying video) and get it connected to your PC  device center

Open up Media Player and go to the Sync tab

Make sure you have enough room (very important)
media sync
Locate the TV show you want to sync

(Top Gear will do. Obviously.)
evo
Drag and drop into the sync pane sync list
Hit ‘Sync’ convert and sync
Once it’s done, open up media player on your windows phone and enjoy! ScreenShot54 ScreenShot55

I’m a PC and I LOVE Windows 7.
