Over the past few years I’ve established a few e-mail accounts; namely, one for personal,  one for business and another for teaching purposes.  I have also created a Windows Live Space page for two of these accounts.

If you have more than one Windows Live ID (The e-mail address and password that you use to sign in to Windows Live programs and services such as Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger) you can link them. When you link more than one Windows Live ID, you can sign in to a Windows Live ID site or service with one account and still have access to information related to the linked accounts.

For the longest time, I was signing out of each account when I wanted to switch from one to the other and this was very time consuming to say the least.

There is a link other accounts option that appears in the top right area when you click on your e-mail address.

To link an existing Windows Live ID:

  1. Sign in to your account summary page with your Windows Live ID.
  2. Click Linked IDs.
  3. Click Link an existing Windows Live ID.
  4. In the Password box, type your current Windows Live ID password.
  5. In the Windows Live ID box, type the Windows Live ID that you want to link.
  6. In the Password box, type the password of the Windows Live ID that you want to link.
  7. Click Link.

You can switch to a linked Windows Live ID without signing out of your current Windows Live ID session.

Switch to a linked Windows Live ID

  1. In the upper-right portion of your browser window, click your Windows Live ID.
  2. Click the Windows Live ID that you want to switch to.

Be sure to view some of the Frequently asked questions located on your account summary page to learn more about Windows Live ID and Account Management Help.
