No matter what type of PCs you might use, you gonna like it better with Windows 7 comparing to Windows XP or Vista! Meanwhile, if you are having a notebook or perhaps a netbook, you’ll surely agree with me that Windows 7 rocks on such machines!

Today, what I like to share with you is basically my personal experience with Windows 7 on my three years old notebook which looks like a brand new these day (internally!)

Driver Friendly:

The very first sweet experience when installing Windows 7 on my notebook was when the computer started up for the first time! Last time, whenever I did a clean installation using Vista or XP, I definitely must go to the manufacturer’s Website and download some of the drivers manually and install them one by one. Thanks to Windows 7, this time I literally didn’t do much for the drivers! As a matter of fact, when I navigated to the device manager window I found almost all of the devices and peripherals completely installed and functional right after the installation. First thumbs up!Device Manager

Increased Performance:

The second part I really enjoyed after the installation was the overall performance of the PC itself! To be honest, the very last days of my experience with Vista was kind of hardship since the overall performance of the computer was getting very slow and it seem to me that my lappy is about to die! However, once I installed Windows 7, even though the hardware was very the same as it was when running Windows Vista, the whole experience seem to be much more smooth and somehow faster! The reason is basically about the way Windows Engineering team have designed this edition of Windows to use less resources! Yes, less resources, comparing to the previous edition of the operating system: Vista! This means a PC with specific hardware profile will somehow run faster when being empowered by Windows 7 in compare to Vista. If you don’t believe me, go and try it for yourself and I’m sure you’ll get surprised!

Windows Mobility Center

Just like in Vista, portable computer users will certainly need to navigate to the Windows Mobility Center based on certain needs. Connecting the notebook to a video projector for instance is one of the possible reasons to do so. Once you navigate to the Windows Mobility Center there are several tasks to be done by the users, specially regarding the presentations and power savings.

What did I say just now? Power saving??!

Power Saving:

Surely one of the very most important things for almost everyone who is using a portable computer is to save battery in it’s most efficient way and thanks to the Windows 7, there are many ways to do so! Dim the display for instance, is one of the new features of Windows 7 to help the battery last more and as a result to move a step forward into Green Computing! You may find out more about Power Saving in Windows 7 in my previous post.

I’m quite sure that there are a number of other features down there, specially for portable computer users and I gonna share them with you all along the journey ahead! Stay tuned.
