Whilst being bored after doing a bit more on my animation project, I decided to see what all the fuss was about with Live Photo Gallery and it’s photo ‘stitching’ capabilities. I knew it was a good feature from the moment Microsoft announced it.
Despite the rather full looking interface in terms of “Look! I’ve found every single image on your computer, even the ones you don’t particularly like” there are a lot of really nice features such as photo stitching.
I came across some pictures I took when I went to Italy with my school for a music tour 3 years ago. I originally took these photos of the Coliseum with the plan of making my own panorama in Photoshop. Lets just say it wasn’t that good.
So anyway, I tried it out in Photo Gallery. It took about 4 images and stitched them together for me:
As you can see, its pretty good. If I had more pictures it looks even better:
