For those of us lucky enough to own a Windows Mobile powered device then you’ll be able to use the windows live applications already installed. It means you don’t have to navigate through the browser version which takes time but can do things a lot faster as its actually installed.
Here I’m going to show you the basic features of Windows Live Mobile for Windows Mobile 6.1 and the web based versions of Live.
To get started with Windows Live for Windows Mobile:
Click Start and go to Programs
Next scroll down the list until you find the program
Tap the icon and it should open. If you haven’t paired your the program with your Windows Live ID, then you’ll be prompted to do that first and given the option to sync your Live contacts to your phone (which we’ll cover later). You’ll be greeted with the Hotmail Screen.
Unfortunately, if you have a touch screen device such as the one I’m using then you won’t be able to use the same ‘gestures’ as in other programs. It’s back to old fashioned tapping with a stylus I'm afraid! This means to scroll to the next feature you’ll need to tap the left or right arrows either side of the screen.
You can sync all of you Live data such as Hotmail, contact and messenger personal settings with the sync feature.

Now that you’ve set up your Live ID with the program, as mentioned before it will place all of your Live contacts alongside existing Outlook and SIM contacts on your device as can be seen here (with some other Club house members).
View your Live Contacts alongside existing Outlook and SIM contacts
You also get the contact details displayed the same was as an Outlook contact, with the option of sending them an email or viewing their Live Space.
View Contact’s details
You can access your Hotmail to send, receive and view messages in the same way you would your Outlook emails and SMS messages
If you don’t have a WM device, then there’s still the web based versions of the above, with the addition of Home. Here you can see the same ‘what’s new’ as the desktop version, the ability to update your personal message and Photos.
