Incorporating video’s into your blog post as a visual tutorial has become a great learning tool so I decided to launch my Docextreme YouTube site so I could add Windows Live Space video’s also
Recording has become a fun thing to do I learn so much in the past few weeks then I have in months and as I get into it more it becomes even more interesting. I think when people see video's they get a better view of what your trying to tell them. I also, try to capture the most important parts of the tutorial YouTube is a great place to show the word what your all about.
I will be posting video's on a variety of topics including Windows Live, How-two's and Computer tip's,HTML tips, I think this is a GREAT way to display information and also a learning process for me. I have never use YouTube before so it's all new to me but it's a great experience to learn about making video's and publishing them also
I will try to give other members a over view on how to accomplish this task in this post from start to finish maybe you to will participate in video developing.
Lesson one: Find out something you like to teach someone and create video or Movie, and start recording it with a (CAM) like Logitech Web Cam or (RECORDING) software such as Community Clip or BSR Recorder both of these programs are free.
If you choose a web cam you will be able to record your self or sometimes you can record a session out side of your computer like I did in this video A How-To on Community Clip, what I did in this session I recorded my Windows vista machine while I was using Community Clip. This session was done with a web cam to capture my recording sessions. Note: keep in mind these Video's have to be converted into a WMV format in order to upload it to YouTube website.
Here are the formats that YouTube support, I prefer to use Windows Movie Maker so I convert my video's into a WMV format to be imported. But there are other software programs that you can use to convert your video's but for me this is the easiest way
- Windows Media Video (.WMV)
- .3GP (cell phones)
- .AVI (windows)
- .MOV (Mac)
- .MP4 (iPod/PSP)
- .MPEG
- .FLV (adobe flash)
- .SWF (shockwave flash)v
- .MKV (h.264)
After I recorded my sessions I uploaded my Video's to my computer and save it with my other video's I have created so I can upload it to my YouTube site when the correct time comes. I collect all my new videos then I begin to upload them to my site.
1-Ok so know were ready to start uploading our movies to Windows Movie Maker seen below
2-Choose the movie you want to upload and then click Import
3-After you have chosen the movie you want to start to configure you can drag it into the storyboard to begin alterations.
4-So now you have created your movie and your ready to show the world what you have done. Click on the publish tab at the top of Windows Movie Maker to start converting your movie.
5-You will be ask were you want to publish your movies just choose these setting below
6-You will need to give your movie a name type the name you want and click on the drop down menu so your movie can be stored in the correct folder so you can retrieve it later.
7-Use this recommended setting to start processing your movie
8-Publishing your movie has started by doing this your movie will be converted into the correct format so it may be seen correctly with other programs like YouTube.
9- Ok so now I have collected my new video's and I want to start uploading them to my YouTube website first login to your YouTube account Welcome To YouTube , and just click on the upload tab to begin
10- Then after clicking on the upload tab you will be transferred to this page were you will be able to upload your video's.
You can upload up to Ten video's at a time just start uploading one at a time until all of your video's are uploaded
11-When the upload starts if you and you want to upload move then one video you will see another window below just like you see in this screen shot. This means another video is being uploaded.
